After traveling from South America to the US, and currently as part of my practice, I started using imagery that explores communication and a longing for connexion, while delving back into the relics of the past.
I originally come from a city rooted in tradition. Proud, and far from present cultural relevancy. I have moved and become an immigrant. And through this process I have observed the transformation of my own character, towards redefining who I am and finding a new home.
By putting pen to paper, the resulting drawings and collages explore events which are not unique to me; they are a bridge, a connexion to other people I have come across and who share this experience. Thus, my work is based upon the idea of identity as an irreplicable personal
characteristic, but also one that is not static.
